The Challenge  

Southern Charm Pools and Spas have been operating in Atlanta, Georgia, since 2020, using an alternative platform to create site plans for their fiberglass swimming pool projects.

Like all building projects, site plans are a critical step in the process. The main challenge was the time to create each site plan using Pool Studio, described by Robert as "an extremely complicated program to navigate". The process would take an average of 3 hours to draw a basic plan. Considering all potential clients want some type of plan, the team only used Pool Studio to create site plans for leads who were most likely to convert, saving them time. However, the system was flawed as these leads often didn't progress, wasting hours of labor.

South Charm Pools and Spas had entire suburbs within their territory unserviced due to the highly complex Architectural Plans mandated for permits, requiring the need for 

• Multiple site visits

• Arborist Studies $350-$400

• Site Surveys $1,500

• Architecture drawings $2,000 -$4,500

Totaling around $6,000 per proposal without any guarantee of the sale progressing, making it impossible for Robert to quote pools in the area, leaving hundreds of thousands of dollars on the table.

The complex site plan process, and the high costs to produce compliant Architectural Plans, were holding Robert back from achieving his business goals. 

The Solution  

To unlock the potential of the entire Atlanta North region, Robert looked for a digital solution to allow them to sell, site, and order various types of plans, all aimed to help them achieve their business goals.

The Result

The process to site a pool has changed significantly with Robert no longer in the yard running around with a tape measure or using a hose to show the pool. Now, Robert looks up an address on canibuild shows the pool sited with setbacks, boundaries, and topography, showing various placement options while explaining financial and landscape impacts to their desired placements.
